Has life been good to you? Did someone help you along the way – a relative, a teacher, a mentor, or some benevolent group? Have you thought that it’s time for you to become the helper, the mentor, the benefactor? Can you see yourself teaching our youth about leadership and community service, providing for the health and safety of our children, assisting the less fortunate to get a college education? Would you enjoy a new found camaraderie with friends who share your desire to help others? If so, then we’d like to introduce you to Kiwanis – a global organization of members dedicated to serving the children of the world. Give us a call or drop us an e-mail. We’ll tell you more with no obligation. There are no words to adequately describe the rewards that come from helping our children, but you’ll get the idea when we tell you about our “Kiwanis Moments”.
I was a member for about 13 years. That's me in the Santa suit! I hope you find new members and can carry on your tradition of service!
I was encouraged by this group for 3 years, 1966-69. I went every Wednesday to the breakfast at Disneyland hotel. I learned how to serve my community. I was President of Key Club at Savanna High School. Then Lt. Governor during my senior year. I remember Clifford Rothrock, Irv Pickler and Marshall. I went on to be President of many groups, because of this training I received.
I’m forever in debt to this group of caring people.
Be sure to invite Natalie Rubalcava to come to meetings, and ask her to share her concerns within our community, etc.
Also, there is the Calvary Chapel Open Door Church by La Palma Park.
And Pearson Park has an Amphitheater with 2,000 seats, and also there are Tennis Courts at Pearson Park.
Chapman film school could also be of assistance.
Salute,
Tony V.
May 31, 2023. We had 13 members and about 150 guests at our annual All Star High School Baseball Dinner in Santa Ana tonight and had a great time. The players were all presented to the guests and given copies of their team photos and a Kiwanis Tshirt. This being the graduation season many of the players had other commitments, so we were a little lower on the numbers of players in attendance. We were due to have our “Mr. Baseball”, Benji Medure, the Head Coach at Huntington Beach High School, speak to us but in his absence, due to an urgent family situation, we were well entertained by Jim Campanis, Jr., who stepped up to the plate and told us much about his baseball career. He gave some very good advice to the young players who will participate in the KCGA All Star Baseball Game at Glover Stadium in Anaheim next Tuesday, June 6th. at 6.15p.m. We also got to meet our Miss Kiwanis for 2023, Hannah Karanick. ...
